The incumbent will serve as the Chief of the Program Analysis and Monitoring Branch. Duties include:
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term and long-range priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Develop performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinate first line supervisors.
Identify and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve business practices.
In coordination with Division Director formulate national policy for Child Nutrition program management and operations and develop systems and processes for monitoring and evaluation of program operations at the regional, state and local levels, and develop systems for national program resource allocation and accountability.
In coordination with Division Director and other Agency officials, formulate proposals for legislation, regulations, guidance and technical assistance materials in support of the Child Nutrition programs.
Coordinate the responses to Congressional, media, and other public inquires, information requests and program audits.
Exercise delegated authority to oversee planning, direction and execution of special long-term program initiatives to improve local-level program management, increase program accountability, implement new technologies in program management, implement new program goals or address weaknesses in program management.
Develop and maintain working relationships with regional offices to help ensure effective program management and operations through open communication, adequate training, negotiation and problem solving.
