We use a multi-step process to evaluate and refer applicants:
1. Minimum Requirements: Your application must show that you meet all requirements, including the experience required for this position.

2. Rating: If you meet the minimum qualification requirements, you will be further assessed by a Panel of Subject Matter Experts (SME) on your possession of the following technical qualifications:
FACTOR 1: Ability to develop and apply the processes and techniques required to conduct compliance examinations of financial institutions or non-depository financial services companies and to serve as examiner-in charge or in a similar leadership role performing and directing the full range of activities involved in examinations, investigations, audits or reviews of compliance with applicable laws.
FACTOR 2: Ability to evaluate the adequacy of a financial institution’s or non-depository financial services company’s Board of Directors and/or management oversight of consumer financial services and to serve in a leadership role in such evaluations
FACTOR 3: Ability to review entities’ compliance management programs, including adequacy of policies, procedures and controls, management and staff experience and expertise, training, quality control, corrective actions processes, management information systems and management’s responsiveness to implementing corrective actions when necessary.
FACTOR 4: Ability to perform as a team leader or supervisor
FACTOR 5: Ability to communicate in writing to convey policies, guidelines, regulations and concepts
FACTOR 6: Ability to use interpersonal and oral communication skills to foster cooperation, convey information and resolve conflicts
Category rating procedures will be used to rank and refer eligibles. You will be assigned a score based on the assessment methods described above. Your score will determine in which of the three categories you will be placed: Categories A, B, or C. Under this process, veterans will be assigned to the appropriate category (without additional preference points) and then placed at the top of their category.
