To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below.
At least one (1) year of experience equivalent to the GS-5 level that demonstrated knowledge of security program concepts, policies, and practices. The assignments must have shown completion of the following, or the equivalent: -Assist in conducting security reviews in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the security program. -Assist in performing basic risk assessments with a team. -Administer less complex physical security programs (lock, key, combinations, separating employees' clearance). -Assist in performing basic administration on security equipment contracts and associated budgets. OR
One (1) year of graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a field of study such as national security studies, information technology, criminal justice or management
Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) may be met by having a Bachelor's degree, with one of the following: A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last two years of study, or a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last two years of study, or rank in the upper one third of the class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or membership in a national honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. A combination of qualifying graduate education and experience equivalent to that described above.

One year of graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. OR
D. LL.B or J.D., if related. OR
E. A combination of qualifying graduate education and experience equivalent to that described above.

B. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study such as national security studies, information technology, criminal justice or management. OR
C.
