To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below.
You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: in-depth knowledge of Disclosure Legislation, statutes, Internal Revenue Code Section 6103, the Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act, the IRM, and other guidelines to effectively deal with the release or non release of information on complex requests, promote awareness through daily contacts, written awareness articles and presentations, proved technical guidance and direction ensuring proper Disclosure compliance, and conduct quality reviews of agencies in possession of federal tax information; Experience using knowledge of IDRS to effectively research and respond to all complex questions or requests concerning the release of confidential information. In addition, your experience should include a wide range of analytical techniques used to resolve complex technical problems and issues where disclosure statutes and guidelines must be interpreted; Oral and written communication techniques to prepare reports, document case files, to conduct meetings, to identify and resolve problems, meet and deal with taxpayers and other customers, and to articulate policies and viewpoints of the Disclosure/Privacy program to management.
