To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below.
You must have three (3) years of general experience, one (1) year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level in the Federal government. To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below.
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Qualifying experience is experience in applying Human Resources Personnel or Payroll concepts and practices. Experience using knowledge of research, fact-finding and evaluative techniques in order to perform research of customer request; Experience using personnel/payroll automation to accomplish workload, research, and data retrieval. Examples of qualifying work experience include: Working with a specialist for payroll human resource functions; or equivalent organizations; Experience analyzing personnel problems and ensuring accuracy of personnel employee payroll information; and Experience communicating both in writing and verbally.
OR
One full year of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a graduate degree in a related field of study such as human resources, organizational psychology, public administration or other administrative and management fields. One year of graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. OR;
Superior Academic Achievement may be met by having a Bachelors degree, with one of the following: A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last 2 years of study, or a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last 2 years of study, or rank in the upper one third of the class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or membership in a national honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.
