Specialized experience for this grade is experience working closely with senior staff, in utilizing agency and Federal or equivalent private sector organization regulations, guidelines, and OMB circulars in determining awardee/allocate compliance to relevant Federal grants management/compliance policies, laws, circulars, etc. He/she has training in Federal grants management/compliance policies, laws, circulars, etc. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR - You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Specialized experience for this grade level is defined as experience specific in an area of community development finance as related to Federal or equivalent private sector organization regulations, guidelines, and OMB circulars in evaluating awardee/allocate reporting to ensure program compliance. He/she has experience of Federal grants management/compliance policies, laws, circulars, etc. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related. OR - You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Fifty-two (52) weeks of experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed above and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is experience such as performing financial analysis and evaluation work including experience with: 1) corporate finance and any specialized fields of finance; and 2) the financial and management structure, operations, and practices of CDFIs and CDEs. Examples of specialized experience may include experience with : operations of CDFIs or CDEs; lending and investing; real estate development; provision of capital/credit and/or development services that promote economic development, community development and alleviating poverty; evaluation of financial soundness and capability of organizations; enforcement of laws, terms and conditions associated with the financial aspects of contracts and awards; federal grants management policies, directives, and regulations; and CDFI Fund mission, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
